El títol ho diu tot. L'article està extret de Bussinesweek.com i el podeu llegir aquí. El punt 9 és "pa mear y no echar gota".
1. “A very powerful and durable rally is in the works. But it may need another couple of days to lift off. Hold the fort and keep the faith!” —Richard Band, editor, Profitable Investing Letter, Mar. 27, 2008
At the time of the prediction, the Dow Jones industrial average was at 12,300. By late December it was at 8,500.
2. AIG (AIG) “could have huge gains in the second quarter.” —Bijan Moazami, analyst, Friedman, Billings, Ramsey, May 9, 2008
AIG wound up losing $5 billion in that quarter and $25 billion in the next. It was taken over in September by the U.S. government, which will spend or lend $150 billion to keep it afloat.
3. “I think this is a case where Freddie Mac (FRE) and Fannie Mae (FNM) are fundamentally sound. They’re not in danger of going under…I think they are in good shape going forward.” —Barney Frank (D-Mass.), House Financial Services Committee chairman, July 14, 2008
Two months later, the government forced the mortgage giants into conservatorships and pledged to invest up to $100 billion in each.

Lectura
Llegeixo a La Vanguardia (sento no poder citar l'article ni l'autor) una mena de crítica cap a un fenòmen que ha aparegut recentment a l'escena literària: l'Stieg Larsson i la seva trilogia.
La crítica es centra en la simplicitat i poca credibilitat dels personatges i l'argument. Acaba simplement dient alguna cosa com: "si això és el que volen els lectors massificats, així sigui".
Quina es la meva aportació?
Molts cops haurem sentit, fins i tot dit per mi (rectificar es de savis), que si un llibre el pot llegir qualsevol, serà que no és bona literatura. Bé, potser sigui així, però no ens repeteixen una vegada i una altra que en aquest país (sigui Catalunya o Espanya) la gent no llegeix una merda? No és cert que una de les raons que la gent escrigui i parli amb el cul és perquè no llegeix?
És una mica irresponsable doncs, fer entendre que només és digne i respectable aquell que llegeix Martí i Pol o Edgar Allan Poe. Crec que hem d'agraïr a la literatura massificada el seu paper social. Només que un jove hagi començat per llegir en Larsson (o fins i tot en Dan Brown) i això el digui a un futur a ser d'aquells que sempre tenim un llibre a la tauleta de nit, ja haurà valgut la pena la publicació del llibre.
Si us plau, llegiu. Si comenceu us enganxarà i no parareu mai. I això és el que veuran els vostres fills. I també ho faran ells.
Un diumenge. A la tarda. Tu i la teva parella asseguts a la vostra butaca preferida. No parleu. Un està desxifrant l'enigma d'un assasinat i l'altre vola al llom d'un grifó executant un encanteri que salvarà els elfs de l'atac de vàries hordes de serps de sis caps. Fascinant. Ideal. Només ho heu de provar.
